Auto Shape extension for Adobe Fireworks CS5
Aaron Beall 2011 - fireworks.abeall.com
Version 1.4.1
Description:
A precise arc drawing tool, defined from the following parameters: origin, begin angle, end angle, radius, and direction (clockwise or conterclockwise.)
When drawing an arc with the arc tool:
- Mouse down defines the origin.
- Mouse drag defines the radius and the begin angle.
- Hold Shift while dragging to lock the radius.
- Hold Ctrl/Cmd to adjust the end angle.
- Hold Alt/Opt to reverse the arc direction.
Once you have drawn the arc, you can modify the parameters by dragging the control points, or click them to input a precise numeric value.
- Hold Shift while dragging the begin/end angle to snap to 45 degree increments.
- Hold Alt/Opt while dragging the begin/end angle to resize radius from that angle.
- Hold Alt/Opt while dragging the radius to rotate the entire arc.
- Click the origin to toggle rendering styles (see below.)
Supports 3 rendering styles, toggled by clicking the origin control point:
- Arc line - Default style which renders only a single line arc.
- Circle segment - Renders a pie wedge shape.
- Donut segment - Renders a donut wedge shape, adding an additional parameter for the inner radius:
- Click the inner radius control point to enter a value expressed as pixel (50px) or percent (50%) -- pixel value is absolute, percent value is relative to the outer radius.
- Hold Ctrl/Cmd while dragging the outer radius control point to maintain the donut width.
